Recreation Unlimited Adaptive Program
Recreation Unlimited is an adaptive ski program at Bogus Basin for children and adults with physical and/or developmental disabilities.
Students are provided individual assessment, ski instruction, and use of specialized equipment which allows them to fully participate in the thrill and freedom of alpine skiing.
The program offers ski lessons for a range of ability levels, from the first-time skier to the intermediate and advanced skier. Ski instruction is offered for:
- People with visual and/or hearing impairments
- People with developmental disabilities
- People with limited or no usage of upper/lower limbs
Trained-volunteer instructors are familiar with the challenges that physical, neuromuscular, and developmental impairments present. Recreation Unlimited offers a safe and exciting experience tailored to the student's needs and designed to make the most of their abilities.
These programs are coordinated and conducted by Recreation Unlimited, an independently operated non-profit organization. Bogus Basin is pleased to support this organizations efforts to provide winter recreation opportunities for people with disabilities.
