School Night Program for grades 3-12

Bogus Basin offers the School Night Ski & Snowboard Program to schools around the Treasure Valley, including youth organizations. The program is designed to affordably teach winter sports to the youth in the Treasure Valley.

The Bogus Basin School Night Program is designed for students in grades 3-12 (ages 7 to 18). This program is not designed for adults. Qualified instructors help students develop and improve skiing/snowboarding skills while focusing on the enjoyment of skiing/snowboarding as a lifetime sport. School Night participants have the opportunity to alpine ski, or snowboard. Minimum of 25 total participants required.

IMPORTANT FOR School Night COORDINATORS:

1. Schedule your School Night Class PLUS a School Visit: We can help your students prepare for their School Night experience on the slopes! Schedule a Bogus Basin School Visit and we'll send a team of instructors to your classroom with pre-season conditioning tips, equipment and Safety Code info', prizes and more! Hurry-school visit dates are limited and go quickly. Call 332-5137 to schedule.

Cost Per Student:

Package A - Lesson/Rental.......... $25 daily price
Includes: Lesson, Equipment Rental & Slope Access

Package B - Lesson Only .......... $15 daily price
Includes: Lesson & Slope Access

School Night Lesson Times:
Monday through Friday*: 4 PM, 5 PM, 6 PM

The Lessons

Classes are formed according to the ability level of the student, from the first time beginner to the advanced skier/snowboarder. Lesson content will vary between each group.
  • Level I (beginner) classes are for those who have never skied or snowboarded before. Lessons for first-timers will begin with equipment familiarization and progress toward riding on beginner terrain.
  • Instructors of Level II (Advanced Beginner) classes will help students concentrate on developing wedge turns and controlled stops on beginner slopes.
  • Level III (Intermediate & Advanced) classes will cover various topics depending on ability level. Topics may include Terrain Park Sessions, Advanced Carving, Breakthrough to Parallel, and Introduction to Racing.
Note: All lesson fees are non-refundable. Lesson prices do not include lift access or equipment.  All programs based on availability.
