Build the Terrain Park

Mountain Events Director

Runs the Mountain Events Department. Successful candidates will have experience in event management and marketing administration. Prior experience planning and organizing ski and snowboarding events of all types preferred. This person needs to be able to operate and set up electronic timing and audio equipment.

This position will supervise all Mountain Events Staff. Prepare and monitor Events department financials. Oversee all aspects of the Terrain Park, including design, grooming, maintenance, and staffing. Facilitates pre-race logistics and set-up, race execution, and post-race tear down. Seeks sponsors for events and services. Functions as liaison to School Race Programs and ski/snowboard racing teams/groups. Develops summer events and programming

Mountain Ticket Office Supervisor

The Mountain Ticket Office Supervisor supervises the Mountain Ticket Office which includes: supervising cashiers, supplying general information to guests on all Bogus Basin services, including ski/board school, rentals, and mountain events, monitors ticket office inventory. Cash handling responsibilities include: maintaining valance of master change fund and station change funds, accounting for cashiers, balancing daily transactions and cash receipts. The Mountain Ticket Office Supervisor is also responsible for leased and coin operated locker service and maintenance; Lost & Found, ATM’s at both lodges, stocking and general maintenance. Maintains the deposit log and transports bank deposits for the mountain ticket office.

Position to start prior to our Labor Day Sale and go though the end of the season. Qualified applicants must like to work with the public and have retail and phone sales experience.

Answer switchboard, guest relations, sales, and miscellaneous clerical duties. Money responsibilities and light typing. Basic computer skills required. Must work weekends and holidays. Must be 18 years. Background check required.

Manages Front of House operations  for a single food and beverage facility. Prior food and beverage supervisory experience required. Cash handling and light accounting experience a plus.

Award Winning Children's Learn to Ski Program

Children's Program Supervisor

Supervises Children's Programs for the Ski and Snowboard School.  PSIA/AASI level II certification required. Experience working in ski and snowboard school industry. Must be able to ski comfortably and safely on blue terrain at moderate speeds. 

Plans and executes children’s lessons and events. Communicates children’s lesson sign-ups and instructor requirements. Supervises the chair rider program. Supervise the check in/check out of children in the Mouse House. Supervises instructors including training, coaching, and assigning lessons. Monitors class splits, organizes and assign classes for the age and ability. Reports to the Ski School Manager on the performance of all instructors. Provide training to other ski/snowboard instructors.

Sell Ski and Snowboard Lessons  

Ski and Board School Sales Supervisor

Responsible for:Ski and Snowboard School lesson sales, scheduling  lesson programs,  sales staff supervision, hiring and training,  Sales program(s) management, Working with school management and instructor staff. Supervisory experience in sales and guest service. Computer experience in data entry, word processing and spreadsheets. Knowledge of and experience with general accounting procedures. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to deal with guests in difficult and stressful situations and make sound decisions. Highly organized, attentive to detail, and able to handle multiple tasks. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.College degree preferred.

With the temperatures nearing 100º, and your thoughts have already turned to the possibilities of sliding on snow then you are the type of person we want. We will begin accepting applications for all of our seasonal positions soon, until then here is a list of seasonal positions available for 08-09

(Not all positions are listed. Exact postings will be listed as positions become available)


DAY CARE ATTENDANT- Experience with children 10 months to 8 years desired. Must work weekends. Must be 18 years of age. Background check required. License preferred.


MOUNTAIN TICKET OFFICE – Guest relations, sales, and miscellaneous clerical duties. Money responsibilities and light typing. Basic computer skills required. Must work weekends and holidays. Must be 18 years. Background check required. Night shifts available only for mountain office.


FOOD AND BEVERAGE – Bartenders, bussers, cashiers, cooks, dishwashers, and servers. (Bartenders must be 21 years of age.) Day and night shifts available for 14 & 15 years old.


LIFT OPERATOR – Chairlift or rope tow attendant. Uniform supplied. Must be 18 years of age. Day and night shift available.


TUBE HILL ATTENDANT – Rope tow attendant. Some money handling responsibilities. Uniform supplied. Day/Night shift available


TUBE HILL CASHIER – Issue tube hill tickets. Money responsibilities and light typing. Basic computers skills required. Must work weekends and holidays. Background check required.


NORDIC CENTER – Cashiers and Instructor/Coach positions. Day shifts only. Uniform jacket supplied. Background check required for cashiers. Provides guest service and all information on the Nordic Center.


PARKING LOT ATTENDANT – Assist in parking lots during weekends and holiday. Uniform jacket supplied.


RENTAL SHOP CASHIER – Guest relations, rental sales, and miscellaneous clerical duties. Money handling responsibilities. Must have typing and data entry experience. Must be 18 years of age. Must work weekends and holidays. Day and night shifts available. Background check required.


RENTAL SHOP TECHNICIAN – Ski, snowboard, and boot technicians. Must have knowledge in all current repair shop machinery and tools, skills in mounting, testing and tuning of skis. Basic computer skills required. Day and night shifts available. Must work weekends and holidays.


RETAIL SHOP SALES- Sales, guest relations, and money handling responsibilities. Cashier and computer experience helpful. Must be 18 years of age. Must work weekends and holidays. Day and night shifts available. Background check required.


SKI CHECK ATTENDANT – Simplot Lodge and Pioneer Lodge ski security system. Light physical labor. Uniform jacket supplied. Must work weekends and holidays. Background check required.


SKI/SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR – Qualified candidates will be invited to hiring clinic Thanksgiving weekend. Uniform jacket supplied. Must be 16 years of age. Must work weekends and holidays.


CHAIR RIDERS – Assist ski school instructors with class safety. Uniform jacket supplied. Some positions for 14 & 15 year olds. Need help weekdays, weekends and holidays.


SKI SCHOOL CLERK – Sales, guest relations, clerical duties, and money handling responsibilities. Typing and light bookkeeping experience. Must work weekends and holidays. Background check required.


SKI PATROL – Qualification clinic in Fall plus NSPS Outdoor Emergency Care or EMT and current CPR card are required. Uniform supplied. Day or night shifts available. Must be 18 years of age.


SNOW CAT OPERATOR – Heavy equipment experience. Must be 21 years of age. Must work weekends and holidays.


SNOW PLOW DRIVER – Heavy equipment experience. Commercial driver’s license required. Must have good driving record. Must be 25 years of age.
